Telemarketers, persistent salespersons, and prank calls. These are just a few types of calls many people do not wish to receive. This guide will teach you how to block them from our secure Stratus portal so you never have to worry about them again.
If you have not yet learned how to log in to our secure portal yet, please view this guide, then return here to continue learning how to block numbers.
Note: In order to make the updates outlined in this guide, you will need Office Manager permissions.
Once you have logged into the portal, navigate to the "Users" tab and look for your "Inbound Routing User". This is where all of the calls are typically routed through from your main number, this allows us to set time frames, change routing, and block callers.
Once you get into the Inbound Routing User profile, navigate to the "Answering Rules" tab and then click on "Allow/Block".
From here you can now add numbers to a white list or a blacklist. A white list or the "allow" list is only for special circumstances, most accounts never use this feature. Simply add the number(s) you want to block from calling you in the "Blocked Numbers" field. You can also choose to block all "Unknown" or "Private/Anonymous" callers.
Click "done" when you are finished adding numbers. You will now no longer receive calls from any numbers added to the blocked list.
