In the case that a customer needs a temporary routing put in place for the phones, the Enswitch platform provides a couple of standard ways to route calls to an alternative number. This is usually due to a power outage, or internet outage at a customer’s location.
Navigate to the main number on the account. Features-Numbers-Select your number.
Under the Numbers settings, there is an option for “Temporary override”.
By selecting Specific Number from the drop-down menu, you are able to force routing to a number regardless of any Time Groups that may be in place.
This will remain active until the drop-down menu is switch back to “Default Destination (overridden by caller and time routes)”. The customer will need to notify technical support when the temporary routing needs to be removed or they can log in the enswitch portal to adjust it themselves.
